Kea Hills and Sea 5*, Mixed Use Resort & Spa in Kea Island, Greece

Project Details

KEY CONCEPT IDEA

The 5* Resort Complex, of 140 keys and a total area FoH of 17.650 sq.m., is developed on a 172.514 sq.m plot. The concept design was based on the traditional in caved constructions applied to the villas and hotel accommodation components to ensure privacy and integration in the natural landscape. In contrast, the local culture of settlement residents gathering in piazzas was adopted for the resort’s public areas. Master planning and zoning design’s main challenge was the incredibly steep topography, causing circulation difficulties affecting the smooth connection between the complex facilities. The lack of proximity to the sea was balanced with a central public area comprising F&B outlets, high-end retail, spectacular view Instagram points, and a chapel for iconic Cycladic ceremonies.
