Triopetra 5* Resort, Spa and Villas, Crete Island, Greece

Project Details

KEY CONCEPT IDEA

The 5* Resort Complex, of 600 beds and a total area FoH of 15.600 sq.m., will be developed on a 106.000 sq.m seaside plot. The Master Plan and Zoning were based on creating neighborhoods of villas and hotel rooms on the limited plateaus of the plot. Master planning and zoning design’s main challenge was the incredibly steep topography, and the two existing steams that separate the plot into two parts. Orientation towards the spectacular sea views and the Triopetra (Three Rocks) natural formation indicated the building’s location. The protected Natura environment and the dense windy period during the summer season were essential to the architectural forms proposed.
